Title: Crystal Mill

The Crystal Mill was not a mill at all. It once had a water wheel to run a mechanical air compressor used in the mines further up the hill. Regardless of what it was it is a classic Colorado icon. I have returned there often, lumbering down the slippery 4x4 road knowing that I can always improve upon the images I have taken. I no longer think I am likely to improve on this image. Everything came together this time. There were fall colors, fresh snow, no wind, great diffused light, and I was lucky enough to be there.
