This was one of those rare days that produced great photography. Snow in early October is not rare, but is typically wrecks havoc on peaking fall aspens. This storm was very gentle, and put a beautiful coat of white on the pines, without stripping all the gold off the Aspens. This scene was found after a chilly hike off highway 133 south of Carbondale, CO
