This is a cascade along a seasonal stream that is fed from snowmelt in the La Salle Mountains. It rushes down this hillside and eventually feeds Ken's Lake. Late evening and early morning is when most all of my photos are shot. This image would not be possible at any other time. Of course the warm light on the red rock buttes in the distance needs the evening light, but the appearance of soft falling water is made possible through a long exposure. The low light of dusk allowed me to keep the shutter open for several seconds.
