Southeast of Breckenridge lies a massive mountain called Bald Mountain, known locally as Baldy. Sitting on Baldy's flanks, this small cabin is one of the remaining reminders of the areas gold mining past. One can only imagine how the miners chose where to build their small cabin. Was it merely proximity to the claim, or was the seasonal explosion of wildflowers you see here part of the reason. Either way, they chose a beautiful place to call home.Breckenridge, Colorado
