The state flower of Colorado is delicate, beautiful, bold, and defining. It is also very difficult to photograph well. Each delicate petal is like a parachute. The slightest hint of breeze will ruin the efforts of the most patient photographer. This patch was found outside of Frisco, CO and after several trips I finally captured them on an incredibly rare completely calm day.
