Title: Window to Mayflower

Summit County has a rich mining history. The towns dotted though out the county owe their starts to the pursuit of Gold. Here in Mayflower Gulch there are still a few cabins to remind us of this legacy. This image was taken through the window of one of those 100 plus year old cabin. Even though this cabin no longer has a roof or doors, it still has the same window opening that these early miners looked through. I like to think that Mayflower Gulch looks about the same now as it did then through this same window.Copper, Colorado
