The Anasazi are an ancient civilization that lived thousands of years ago in the desert canyons in the Southwest regions of North America. According to some believers the Anasazi people either had encountered aliens, were abducted by aliens or they were aliens themselves.

The name Anasazi in Navajo translates as "ancient strangers" or "ancient enemy".

They have left behind many petroglyphs and other rock art, through which we get an impression of what they may have seen or believed.
