The Wave has become a popular attraction in the Coyote Buttes area of the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness on the Utah/Arizona border. "The Wave" is swirled bands of color running through sandstone that has eroded into beautiful flowing shapes. The extreme heat of summer makes the best time to visit in the spring, fall and winter.
